Virginia is a state that many great, famous and recognizable women hail from. Growing up with an Army Colonel as a mom, who defied many odds to earn every little bit of recognition she could, a grandmother who came to the United States with her seven children, worked as a nurse and lived the American dream, and another grandmother who was the Vice President of a university, I have always been around powerful women who have inspired me.

Based off the idea of Cosmopolitan's 'Get That Life' series, 'Fun, Fearless, Farmville,' does not set out to recognize the Katie Couric's, Missy Elliott's, Gabby Douglas' and all of the other famous women from Virginia who have reached success, but it sets out to recognize the women of the small town of Farmville, who dreamed what they thought were impossible dreams and made them a reality.

'Fun, Fearless, Farmville' is to inspire the future generations of now girls and soon to be women, to reach for their absolute highest of goals and know that they don't have to be famous to be the woman they always imagined they could be. I want them to read this and realize that all they have to do is choose to be selfless, do what they love, set high goals and work hard, to get the life they have always imagined
